Aspirants of Class 16 - January to June, 2019
My prayers had been answered. My desire to follow the Lord was clear. I was a man ready to dive into the Catholic faith in a deeper way: Priesthood.
The call to be a friar, serve the outcasts of society, and be God’s presence to these people is a deep desire of my heart.
In my vocation I desire to preach, minister to the sick and suffering, offer the Mass, and hear confessions.
…This simple realization came forth: Jesus is everything, and that must change my life.
My life changed. This perfect love, lit by the fire of the Holy Spirit, has led me on a journey to discover God’s plan for me.
I greatly desire to spread the kingdom of God in imitation of the beautiful and simple way of the Holy Family.
Call to live the monastic life will – God willing- accentuate my lifelong search for and embrace of God’s love.
“I fell in love with the man who died for me. I fell in love with Jesus.”
My reluctance to truly embrace the beauty of my faith was no match for the Holy Spirit’s persistence.
One of the most powerful moments in my faith life came to me while I was serving as an Army officer in Iraq during the first Gulf War.
